Vacuum roll is widely used in the mesh and press parts of paper machine. It is the core equipment of paper machine. It mainly consists of rotating cylinder, vacuum box inside cylinder, bearing support device, transmission device and other components. Vacuum rollers are more expensive rollers in papermaking machines. The cost of ordering spare rollers, production loss caused by shutdown and roll change, replacement of sealing strips, and power consumption are huge due to the use of sealing strips.

Vacuum roll

The existing vacuum roll sealing device mainly consists of sealing groove, sealing strip, elastic device and other components. The vacuum roller sealing groove is a groove structure with straight inner wall; the sealing strip and elastic device are installed in the sealing groove, the two sides of the sealing strip are straight, and the gap between the inner wall of the sealing groove matches. The sealing strip is generally wear-resistant polymer material or rubber-graphite composite material with good self-lubrication characteristics; the elastic device is usually multiple helical compression springs or rubber-graphite composite materials. The elastic device of rubber tire and vacuum roller is rubber tire. The sealing strip is installed on the upper part of the rubber tire and contacts with the inner wall of the roller. The function of rubber tire is to keep good contact between the sealing strip and the cylinder body.
